Dear MFAG Members,
It's Time to Vote! Every year at our May meeting we recognize a Member of the
Year who has been active in Guild activities. This year's nominees and their
service to the Guild are listed below. If I have forgotten a nominee's contribution
to the Guild, it's because of my memory!
Margaret Eversole: evening meeting coordinator (2 years), posts Guild events
online and in area newspapers and helps keep the Guild web site current
Judy Brock: current co-Vice-President/program coordinator, past newsletter
editor, rug hooking specialty group leader, teacher, assists newsletter editors
Mary Jo Nuttall: hostess for knitting group many times, unofficial Birthday Brunch
coordinator, recruits members off the street (OK, at Michaels!), enthusiastic
participant
Shirley Boyce: successfully solicits donations for her nurses knitting project
(informally known as Shirleyʼs Babies), hostess of the knitters specialty group
many times
Nancy Groenert: in charge of the Sunshine and Clouds raffle and sending out
cards and flowers to ailing members, hostess of the knitting specialty group many
times
Paula OʼDonnell: current co-Vice-President/program coordinator, crocheter
extraordinaire, hostess for knitting specialty group
Lynn Hamann: current newsletter editor, hosted knitting specialty group,
enthusiastic new member – steps up to cover for secretary, when needed
A guild for all fiber enthusiasts, Mesa Fiber Arts Guild is a non-profit organization on Colorado's Western Slope (of the Rockies) dedicated to the preservation of fiber arts: weaving, spinning, knitting, surface design, fiber dyeing and related fiber arts. The Guild seeks to advance fiber arts through shows, workshops, duty groups,community involvement and a monthly newsletter.
