Sheep to Shawl at the Meeker Classic 2014

At the Meeker Classic Sheep Dog Trials, in Meeker, Colorado, Nancy B, Lynnie H. and Bernadine M. (Dean) participated in a Sheep to Shawl demo and had a blast.  It was a long day of spinning. The Lloyds; Erik, Penny and Justin from Sheep Camp Mill in Molina were there too. There was combing, carding and weaving in addition to spinning.  So fun! And it was a beautiful day. Meeker is a gorgeous place as is the drive to it. Check it out.

The April Guild meeting was in the evening this month and several people from the day meeting (not held in April) attended.  It was a great turnout with around 30 in attendance for Tapestry Artist, Kathy Spoering's Program on where she gets her inspiration.

Photos of guild members' "Show and Tell" after Kathy's presentation. Mesa Fiber Arts Guild meets monthly from September through May.  In the summer, several of the specialty groups continue to meet (knitters, spinners, rug hookers, weavers, dyers).
